A: Moonstruck Chocolate products are available at specialty retailers and fine grocers across the country. You can find the location nearest you with our Store Locator.
Q: Can I ship internationally?
A: We are currently only able to ship to locations within the United States. Please see our Shipping Polices for complete details.
Q: Can I place an order to be shipped within the U.S. from outside the country?
A: Yes. If you are shipping to destinations within the United States, you may place an order from anywhere in the world. However, we are unable to process international credit cards online. If you would like to use a credit card that is not US-based, please call our customer service team at 1-800-557-MOON to place your order.
Q: Can I make a custom box of chocolates?
A: Unfortunately, Moonstruck Chocolate Company does not offer custom boxes of chocolates via our web site, though our online inventory features the very best of our collection. Customers can create custom boxes of chocolates in our Moonstruck Chocolate Cafés. You can find the café location nearest you for your custom-assortment needs.
Q: Where are the truffles made?
A: All our artisan chocolates are hand-crafted, hand-decorated, and hand-packaged in Portland, OR.
Q: Can you send me a catalog?
A: Unfortunately, we are not currently able to fulfill requests for print catalogs. However, our entire year-round and current seasonal product lines are available online on our web site.
Q: What is the shelf life of your products?
A: We hand-craft our chocolates using only the finest and freshest all-natural ingredients, without using artificial preservatives. As such, shelf life can vary depending on the product. Factors that impact shelf life include:
- The amount of cocoa butter in the product.
- The specific ingredients of the product.
- The temperature, humidity, and light exposure of the chocolate’s shipping, storage, and display location.

Q: How should I store my chocolates? Can I refrigerate them?
A: We hand-craft our chocolates using only the finest and freshest all-natural ingredients, and special care should be given to maintain quality and freshness. For the best possible chocolate experience, please follow these storage guidelines:
- Always store chocolate in a cool, dry location away from a heat source and direct light.
- The ideal storage environment should maintain a consistent temperature between 55 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit. If stored in temperatures higher than that, the chocolate may begin to soften, compromising the appearance and flavor profile.
- Do not freeze or refrigerate chocolate. Ideal humidity for chocolate storage is 55 percent, and regular refrigeration units are too humid and will cause condensation.
- Keep chocolate away from sources of strong odors, since chocolate absorbs the odors of food and other strongly smelling products around it, which can adversely affect the flavor.
Q: Which truffles contain alcohol?
A: Several of our truffles do incorporate liqueurs or other alcohol products, though at levels that are low enough for safe and legal consumption by minors. These chocolates include our Irish Cream Truffle, Champagne Truffle, Clear Creek Pear Brandy Truffle, Orange Truffle, Pure Gold Truffle, and Raspberry Truffle.
Q: Are all your chocolates handmade?
A: Yes. All our artisan chocolates are hand-crafted, hand-decorated, and hand-packaged in Portland, OR.
Q: Are your products all-natural?
A: We hand-craft our entire core line of year-round truffles using only the finest and freshest all-natural ingredients, and do not add any preservatives to our chocolates. In rare cases, we may utilize artificial colors, artificial flavors, or hydrogenated oils in some chocolate products.
Q: Do you offer wholesale pricing?
A: Yes, we do offer wholesale pricing to retailers who meet our strict criteria for reselling Moonstruck Chocolate products. If you would like to apply for a wholesale account, we welcome you to make a wholesale inquiry online.
Q: Where can I find descriptions of your entire line of truffles?
A: All our truffles are described on their individual product pages.
Q: What allergen risks do your products pose?
A: Some of our chocolates contain ingredients that could pose allergen risks, so we encourage you to closely examine the ingredients tab for any product you are interested in purchasing.
Additionally, even if the product you are interested in does not pose a direct allergen risk, please be advised that our chocolates are manufactured in a facility that handles peanuts, tree nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, and macadamia nuts), milk, eggs, and soybean and wheat products.
Q: What if I have a nut allergy?
A: In addition to avoiding products that feature nuts, please be advised that our chocolates are manufactured in a facility that handles peanuts, tree nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, and macadamia nuts), milk, eggs, and soybean and wheat products.
Q: Do you have any Kosher products?
A: No, we do not offer Kosher products.
Q: Do you have any vegan products?
A: No, we do not offer vegan products.
Q: Do you have any gluten-free products?
A: Our Classic Chocolate Bars meet the FDA's requirement for Gluten Free certification (less than 20 parts per million). However, our products are - as indicated on the label - manufactured on shared equipment in a facility that handles milk, wheat, peanuts and tree nuts.
Q: Do you sell sugar-free chocolates?
A: No, we do not offer sugar-free products.
Q: Does your chocolate contain soy lecithin?
A: Yes, soy lecithin is an important all-natural emulsifier that keeps the cocoa and cocoa butter in chocolate products from separating.
Q: Do you use fair-trade chocolate?
A: Moonstruck Chocolate Company strongly condemns slavery and abusive child labor and, as a matter of policy, does not utilize cocoa farmed by such means. We support international efforts to eliminate these labor practices and work only with vendors that confirm that no slavery and/or abusive child labor was utilized for the harvesting of cocoa.
While we, and our vendors, support fair trade initiatives, our chocolate is not certified as “fair trade.” However, we remain committed to ensuring the chocolate our customers enjoy in no way results from abusive labor practices.
Q: Do you offer tours of your factory?
A: We do not currently offer tours of our chocolate-production facility.
Q: Do you offer gift cards?
A: Yes, currently gift cards can be purchased at any one of our Moonstruck Chocolate Cafés, where the cards can also be redeemed. At this time, gift cards cannot be purchased or redeemed on our Web site, although we are working to add those capabilities.
Q: Do you offer customized packaging?
A: No, we do not offer customized packaging.
