MOONSTRUCK CHOCOLATE CO.’S CHEF JULIAN ROSE RECIEVES TOP CHOCOLATIER HONOR

Portland, Ore. – (Oct. 27, 2009) – Moonstruck Chocolate Co. is pleased to announce that Chef Julian Rose, the company’s master chocolatier was named to Dessert Professional magazine’s first annual list of Top Ten Chocolatiers for North America. Created to honor professionals whose craft exemplifies the use of chocolate and whose contributions have been instrumental in promoting the chocolate industry, the exclusive list also includes fellow Oregonian Jeff Shepherd of Lillie Belle Farms and the legendary Jacques Torres. The 2009 Top Ten Chocolatiers list will be featured in the December issue of Dessert Professional magazine and the recipients will be recognized at an awards ceremony taking place at the 12th annual New York Chocolate Show October 30th, 2009.

Chef Rose is a classically educated pastry chef and confectioner. From his earliest days working in his parents’ pastry shop, to his culinary education and throughout a professional career of more than 25 years, Chef Rose has made it his life’s mission to crack the subtle secrets of chocolate.
