Summer Fun with Moonstruck Chocolate
Moonstruck Chocolatier’s Summer Collection Features Clown Fish Truffles, Artisan S’mores and New Mojito Mint Tingles

Portland, Ore. – (April 19, 2010) – Moonstruck Chocolate Co., a Portland, Ore.-based artisan chocolatier, has launched its summer 2010 collection showcasing seasonal shapes and flavors including starfish, clown fish and seashells.

“Summer is always a fun season to serve as inspiration because there are so many bright colors and fresh tastes to incorporate,” says Moonstruck chocolatier Julian Rose. “The new clown fish are fruity and playful while the classic summer collection brings in flavors of black tea and sea salts, offering an array summer flavor profiles.”

2010 Summer Collection Highlights:

Clown Fish Collection
New this year, each clown fish is hand-formed, hand-dipped and hand-decorated. The six-piece collection includes two ivory chocolate and lemon ganache truffles, two milk chocolate and orange ganache truffles and two dark chocolate and strawberry ganache truffles.

Summer Collection
The classic four-piece summer collection includes:

• Dark Chocolate Orange Truffle featuring smooth dark chocolate ganache with a dash of pure orange oil in a white chocolate shell.
• Sea Salt Cajeta Caramel featuring soft goat’s milk caramel flavored with sea salt crystals inside a dark chocolate shell.
• Sea Salt Vanilla Caramel featuring caramel flavored with sea salt crystals and pure Madagascar vanilla, enrobed in milk chocolate.
• Oyster and Black Tea Pearl Truffle featuring handcrafted milk chocolate oyster shells with a soft Gianduja mixture of milk chocolate and Oregon hazelnut butter and a dark chocolate pearl flavored with black tea and a crispy cereal center.

Artisan S’mores
Moonstruck’s take on a classic summer treat includes hand-piped marshmallow sandwiched between crisp vanilla cookies, enrobed in dark chocolate.



Mojito Mint Tingles
Moonstruck’s popular Mint Tingles are back in the shape of starfish with a refreshing Mojito twist: just a hint of rum, mint and lime.

The Moonstruck Chocolate Summer Collection will be available from May 24 to August 23 at select retail locations and fine grocers across the country, at all five Portland-area Moonstruck Chocolate Cafés and on the Web at www.MoonstruckChocolate.com.
