MOONSTRUCK CHOCOLATE POSITIONED FOR GROWTH IN 2010
Company Hires Food Industry Sales Professional; Adds New Distributors

Portland, Ore. – (April 1, 2010) – Moonstruck Chocolate Co., a Portland, Ore., based artisan chocolatier, has hired Ronald Brake as director of sales and added two Wash.-based distributors to its portfolio as part of the company’s 2010 growth strategy.

“The addition of Ron as well as our distributor expansion has positioned us for greater strength in 2010,” said Dan Hossley, CEO of Moonstruck Chocolate Co. “Ron’s leadership combined with our chocolatier’s passion, talent and imagination gives Moonstruck great promise of exciting opportunities ahead.”

Prior to joining Moonstruck, Brake was president of Contrail Sales, LLC, a Portland, Ore., based food industry consulting firm. He brings more than 30 years of food industry sales experience to his new position including past chairman of Associated Grocers in Seattle and Northwest Price Impact Group in Portland, Ore., and previous owner and president of Food Venture 87. Brake is on the board of directors for the Northwest Grocers Association and the Portland State University Food Industry Leadership Council.

NEW DISTRIBUTORS
Moonstruck has recruited Crown Pacific Distribution, based in Seattle, to distribute Moonstruck chocolates through QFC stores. Additionally, Consolidated Foods, based in Kent, Wash., will distribute through Thriftway Stores, Red Apple Stores and other chocolate and wine retail operations.
