Moonstruck Chocolatier is proud to be the "Official Choco-
lates of the 78th Annual Academy Awards® Gift Baskets."

For this years collection we set out to find the best and rarest of all cacaos. The result is an amazing and innovative handmade collection that we aptly named the "Connoisseur Collection." Twelve awinspiring truffles sit beautifully within a Thai silk and teak wood box which was hand crafted just for this event.


From hidden and exotic tropical plantations around the globe come the finest and rarest of all cacaos. Moonstruck has created a special truffle collection from these unique origin chocolates whose complex flavor notes play the star role. Flavors are given a supporting role to each truffle according to the specific flavor notes and nuances in balance and harmony with these unique origin chocolates. Our Connoisseur Collection truly exemplifies Theobroma cacao, food of the gods.



Arriba The rarest and most coveted of Forastero cacaos, this Arriba from Ecuador takes its place among the rare and flavorful Criollo and Trinitario cacaos. These flavor notes have been paired with 20 year old Aceto Balsimico di Modena in this exquisite dark chocolate Truffle. 70% cacao content Chuao This whipped cream dark chocolate truffle is prepared with Chuao cacao, a Criollo from the Chuao estate, the most isolated Venezuelan cacao estate on the central Caribbean coast. It is a bittersweet chocolate with an initial flavor of plums, red fruit and an aromatic roundness. 70% cacao content Java From the indonesian island of Java comes a Trinitario cacao with a strong Criollo influence that produces the world's best flavor for milk chocolate. This milk chocolate truffle mousse is smooth and creamy with caramel hits and slight acidic notes. 33% cacao content



Mananjaray A blend of Criollo and Trinitario cacao beans from Madagascar touts and aromatic bouquet, fresh slightly acid chocolate taste, with intense hints of red fruits. An artisan goat milk cheese, Fromage Blanc, from Cypress Grove balances well with this dark chocolate creating a truffle with a unique tasting experience. 64% cacao content Mangaro This dark milk chocolate, made only with the top grade cacao beans from the Mangaro plantation on the island of Madagascar, expresses notes of caramel, exotic fruit, pain d'epice, and honey with a finish of sultanas. This milk chocolate truffle has been highlighted with Garum Masala and garnished with black sesame seeds. 50% cacao content Miranda The cacao in this dark chocolate truffle is a hybrid of Trinitario and indigenous Criollo originating in Barlovento, Miranda estate, Venezuela. Accented with Sandeman® Founder's Reserve Porto, it has an intense flavor with notes of cinnamon, wood, soft fruit and raisins, along with the aftertaste of golden tobacco. 70% cacao content



Porcelana The holy Grail of pure Criollo, the Porcelana has a very complex, bittersweet dark chocolate flavor with a predominantly toasted almond aroma and subtle spicy flavors like cinnamon, coriander, and nutmeg. This heirloom Criollo from Hacienda San Jose, Venezuela is paired with Spanish Marcona almonds and a hint of smoked paprika in this dark chocolate whipped cream truffle. 70% cacao content Sambriano A dark chocolate made with a hybrid of Criollo and Trinitario cacaos from the Sambriano Valley of Madagascar has an intense flavor with aromatic notes of berries, cashews, pepper, and cinnamon. This truffle is complimented with Kaffir lime and galangal creating a yin and yang of sweetness and acidity with a hint of spice. 70% cacao content Sumatra This strong dark milk chocolate comes from Asfarth in the northwest end of the Indonesian island of Sumatra with notes of wild honey and Madiera wine. Italian chestnut honey highlights this intense milk chocolate truffle. 65% cacao content

Tanzanie A blend of Criollo and Forastero cacaos from Tanzania on the eastern coast of the African continent dominates this whipped cream truffle perfumed with real vanilla from both Madagascar and Tahiti. When eaten the fruity flavors, released as you bite into, linger in the mouth with all the raw strength and tanginess of a slightly wild cacao – daring and exciting. 75% cacao content
