Position: Sales Associate (Full Time or Part Time)

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing customers with a unique shopping experience, by utilizing excellent customer service, effective selling techniques, and providing in- depth product knowledge in a fast-paced, specialty retail environment.

MAJOR RESPONSBILITIES:

• Greeting customers as they enter the store.
• Determining customer needs through actively listening and speaking with the customer.
• Preparing customer purchases including truffles and beverages.
• Operating cash register.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Receive and maintain food and safety certification in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Chocolate and coffee (barista) knowledge a plus, but not required.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS:

• Ability to act with a “customer comes first” attitude and deliver customer service that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Exceptional sales skills in a customer service environment.
• Team player with strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to handle a challenging and multi-tasking environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
